Introducing Our New Puppies!
We're excited to announce the arrival of a beautiful litter of four gold and white Border Collie puppies at Michelle's Canine Emporium! Proud mom Jael, a champion-sired sweetheart, and dad GCh Jerry, a highly driven, devoted companion, have blessed us with two males and two females. These pups are already showing the incredible traits that make Border Collies so special. There are currently two still available, and they will be ready to join their new homes around January 19th, 2025. Don't miss out on the chance to bring one of these exceptional pups into your life!
Puppies Raised to be Service Dogs
We take raising our puppies very seriously in order to set them up for success in their new homes. We start with doing ENS in their first week. Between 3 and 4 weeks we begin introducing different textures for them to see, touch and feel under them. They are given stimulating, enriching and engaging toys and obstacles to prepare them for all that life will throw at them. Between 4 and 5 weeks they are begun on luring behaviors, learning their negative and positive markers, and start spending their days outside in a new and enriching environment. We teach them to climb steps, go down slides and to follow us. Between 5 and 6 weeks they are given their first vaccinations, and continue with daily lessons. 6 to 8 weeks, we start letting them wear a leash, take them for walks around the farm, introduce them to water in the creeks, and get them out at least once to a store.
As the puppies mature, we continue exposing them to different environments, and begin structured obedience at 16 weeks. The older the pup, the more expensive they will be due to the extensive training we do with them. We prepare them to be ESA or other service type dogs. If you would like a trained pup, contact us to set up a consultation and we'll see if we cant help you out.
If you are a veteran or in the service, we do offer a nice discount, or even will donate you a pup. To date, we have donated twenty-four pups to our veterans in need.
